There are moments of the day that usually go unnoticed, as if they were an addition to what we do to make a living or to achieve our goals. Accessory situations, such as the moment of getting off the bus and walking to the subway station to be pushed by a tide of people and face new but somehow familiar looks.
This project is part of a series of works linking everyday life and the sound space of Warsaw as part of the common world we inhabit. During September and December 2022 I recorded my commute to and from work on line 1 of the Warsaw metro. I turned my attention to the intensities, to the presence of those who are next to me -often in silence-, to the apparent emptiness of the tunnels. Some sections of this sound recording have been intervened; from others I present only fragments. The recordings can be (re)used to be listened to during a walk, or trip, through the listener's own city.
